| Welcome to walking in the heart of England
You do the walk – we do the work
We arrange your accommodation and the transport of your luggage – you enjoy your short break at your own pace with our fully documented self guided walks through the Peak District National Park and surrounding area.
Derbyshire Peak District – The Peak Park – has an immense variety of scenery and contrasting landscapes for walking. The Dark Peak, in the north, with its brooding moors, many reservoirs and gritstone edges with stunning views, leads to the High Peak – with its stone villages and market towns, show caves and dramatic scenery.
In contrast the White Peak has the elegant spa town of Buxton, several grand houses and craggy limestone dales and valleys.
The 15 mile stretch of the Derwent valley, from Cromford to Derby has been recognised as a World Heritage site. It contains one of Akwright’s best preserved cotton mills.
South of Derby are walks through lovely rolling countryside and the National Forest. You will also discover many more historic houses.
Your accommodation could be in someone’s home, an Inn or in a converted mansion.
We will have visited the accommodation, to ensure your holiday is comfortable and enjoyable. |
